Aqua Spa is the wellness center of Medjugorje Hotel & Spa. Over an area of more than 500 m² (5382 ft²) there is a harmonious wellness path designed to regenerate body and spirit. Here you will find all you need to relax yourself and to take care of your beauty, health and fitness: from sauna to massages, from Turkish bath to beauty treatments, including also a gym. Using the lift, Aqua Spa is reachable from any hotel floor. Our wellness center is open also to outside guests and is equipped with all comforts.

Information

Nudity: at Aqua Spa nudity is not allowed. Hence you can enjoy every facility in our wellness center without feeling uneasy or embarrassed.

Minimum age: children under 12 years of age must be accompanied by parents.

Spa Kit: we have towels, bathrobes and slippers available to you and included in the entrance fee.

Advice

Some treatments using extreme heath or cold may be dangerous for beginners, expectant mothers and people suffering from particular problems as hypertension, lung affections, heart disorders, skin diseases. Hence, before using the services of our Aqua Spa, take advice from your personal doctor.

WHIRLPOOLS - JACUZZI

The hydromassage is a natural type of massage which uses the combined action of water and air merged in jets. It takes place in heated whirlpools, giving a relaxing sensation of lightness in the whole body. Moreover, this treatment has a healthy and stimulating effect for the blood pressure.

TURKISH BATH

The Turkish Bath takes place in a room where the humidity level is 100%. This particular microclimate creates a mist with stratified layers having different temperatures. This treatment has several positive effects: it fosters a deep skin cleansing, it is good for the breathing apparatus and helps to reduce stress.

SAUNA

The healthy effects of a simple exposition to high temperatures are known since ancient times, and the sauna is one of the most renowned wellness treatments. The extreme perspiration, caused by the heat, expels the impurities of the body from the skin, also enhancing a pleasant state of relaxation.

BIOSAUNA

Bio Sauna is a mild, pleasing and regenerating type of sauna wherein the maximum temperature is only 50°C (122°F) and humidity is kept at a fixed level of 65%. This is a halfway solution between sauna and Turkish bath: low temperature and humidity make this treatment more tolerable.

SENSORY SHOWERS

These treatments merge the healthy effects of water with sensory stimulations involving the senses of touch, smell and eyesight. Water jets with different force and temperature, diffused essential oils, plays of coloured lights surrounds your body and mind with a pleasing, relaxing atmosphere.

SALT CAVE

The positive effects of salt on the breathing apparatus are known since ancient times. Our Salt Cave is a special room with walls covered by real Himalayan pink salt, which creates a microclimate without humidity. Here you can relax yourself while inhaling healthy, micronized salt particles.

FRIGIDARIUM

The Finnish tradition recommends to alternate the heat of the sauna with immersions in cold water. The heat purifies the body, while the cold stimulates the micro-circulation of your blood. In Aqua Spa we propose a milder treatment in its Frigidarium, where you can refresh yourself with ice massages or sitting under jets of mint-flavoured cold water, as you wish.

RELAXATION AREA & CHROMATIC GARDEN

The Relaxation Area is a heated room, where to rest and get your body relaxed after high-temperature treatments, such as sauna and turkish bath. Here you can restore your psychophysical balance, surrounded by soft light and lounge music, and helped by fresh water and infusions. In the Chromatic Garden there is a special illumination system using coloured lights, which helps your body to regenerate its tissues reactivating them on an energetic level, fostering your complete relaxation.
